Tagged

Nichole and Marissa both tagged me awhile ago. I really enjoyed this one.

I am: a wife, new mom, and first grade teacher
I think: being a mom is tiring!
I know: that Jesus Christ lives.
I want: shirts that will fit.
I have: the cutest baby in the world.
I dislike: toothpaste tubes squeezed in the middle.
I miss: living close to family.
I fear: something bad happening to my loved ones. Here's a random fear...when I was little I was terribly afraid of the Wicked Witch of the West. I would get nightmares that night unless I closed my eyes anytime she was on the screen while watching the Wizard of Oz.
I feel: really happy.
I hear: the computer running and Greg's vibrating bouncy seat.
I smell: nothing because my nose is plugged.
I crave: cookies
I cry: really easily.
I usually: hate waking up early.
I search: for Noel's keys, glasses and wallet.
I wonder: about random people that I have known.
I regret: not being more social and not making more friends at college.
I love: Noel and Greg.
I care: about the kids I have taught.
I always: wear sunscreen when I am outside for an extended period of time.
I worry: about being able to balance everything--being a wife, being a mom, teaching, my calling, etc.
I am not: punctual.
I remember: playing Chutes and Ladders and Intelevision with my high school friends.
I believe: the children are our future. I say teach them well and let them lead the way. :) Just kidding. I believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God.
I dance: when nobody is looking.
I sing: really loud with the radio.
I don't always: use my time wisely.
I argue: not all that often...I'd like to think that I am a pretty easy going person.
I write: in my lesson plan book and lesson outcomes on the board.
I win: Scrabble when Trevor Willbur helps!
I lose: at any game that requires strategy...like Risk.
I wish: I had better domestic skills like being a better housekeeper, being more crafty, etc.
I listen: to a baby who grunts almost all the time and think that it is the most precious sound.
I don't understand: chemistry.
I can usually be found: without my hair done and without makeup on.
I am scared: when I am home alone at night.
I need: a nap.
I forget: to do things for school and primary.
I am happy: when I spend time with people I care about.

I tag Hayley and Emilee

A Couple of Firsts

First walk...as you can tell he was very enthralled by the walk and was looking around at everything. Yeah right.

Greg's umbilical cord finally fell off on Monday. What a cute belly!

First bath

I don't know about you, but I think this sleeper is a little too small. :)

Greg with his Grandmas

We were very lucky to have a bunch of help when Greg was first born. My mom arrived in Lexington the night that I was induced and stayed until the following Tuesday. It was so nice to have her there when we brought him home from the hospital.

Noel's mom came to help the day that my mom went back to Idaho. I am so glad she came; Noel and I were just not ready to be parents without the help of a pro yet (at least I was not). Lynne was able to stay until the following Monday. So far we have made it on our own since the cavalry left, but Greg sure misses his grandmas. :)

Thanks for all your help! We love you both!

Grandmas' Request

Greg's grandmas have requested that some new pictures be posted. So here we go. Here are some pictures of when we tried out the Baby Bjorn and sling.

I think he likes the Baby Bjorn a little bit better...don't you think so? He was grunting the whole time he was in the Bjorn. But honestly, he grunts almost all the time anyway.

This is just a picture of Greg in some plaid shorts that I thought were cute. He looks so handsome (even with the red eyes from the camera).

Gotta love it!

I was feeling pretty adventurous today, so when I was getting dressed (let's be honest...it was afternoon by the time I actually got dressed for the day) I decided to not wear maternity pants. I rifled through my closet looking for the biggest pair of pre-pregnancy capris I had. When I put them on, I put my hands in the pockets and found a $20 bill. SCORE!!! I love it when that happens!

Rise All Loyal Cougars!

When Noel and I were at BYU, we always bought All-Sport passes and went to all of the home football games. I loved it. Since we moved to Lexington last year, we have really missed being able to watch cougar football. Noel talked me into getting Direct-TV so we could get MTN to watch the football games. Let's be honest, it didn't take much convincing. Well...we were able to watch the game verses Washington on Saturday. We had some friends over for the game and some food and fun. Greg loved his first BYU game. He even wore a BYU t-shirt (it was too big for him, but I couldn't resist).

Noel and Greg before the game. I'm not quite sure why he is pulling on his mouth with his finger, but whatever.

Here are some more pictures of Greg. Noel and Lynne spiked Greg's hair. You can see it a little bit in this picture.

This is Greg's favorite place to catch a nap. He loves hanging out on Noel's chest.
Just too cute! :)

We Have Eyes!

Trying to photograph a baby that is 6 days old with his eyes open is like trying to capture Big-foot. But after a lot of trying and several hundred photos, we succeeded in capturing two good eye images. The irises still remain blue and we have hopes that he will be a blue eyed dark hair heart-throb. However, we will be happy with whatever.

Above: Greg knows he is close to getting some nice TLC from his mother.
