What Baby?

For those of you who are loyal Dickens fans and check out our amazing blog on a daily basis...this one's for you. For the rest of you, come on...you should know by now just how cool we are!:)
Some of you might already know (Parents are not secret keepers...that's right, we are talking about you mom(2) and dad(2)), but Amber is a young beautiful yet queasy mother to be. We found out three weeks ago for sure (as Hayley says, "for su...") that Amber is pregnant. At this point in time, she still looks like Amber and based on her constant nagging of Noel's morning flatulence (which of course he doesn't have ;)), she is still our loving and adorable Amber. There is no abnormal weight gain or vomiting. And fingers are crossed that she remains healthy and strong.
On the top right of our blog we have happily put a baby ticker for those of you who are wondering about the progress of our pregnancy. You can click on it and it will change and tell you how far along Amber is and when the baby is due...and a bunch of other cool things. We also invite anyone to vote on our list of baby names. Just so you know, Noel's favorite names are Conan if it is a boy and Gertrude if it is a girl.
As you can probably tell, we are both extremely excited; Amber has had to duct tape Noel's mouth shut for the past little while. We have already set aside a room for the baby and when we find out its sex we will begin to paint and decorate. Let's just hope it won't have a sex change between the 20th and 40th week of the pregnancy.
Anyways, if you read this and want to give us a ring-ding, then do so. We would love to hear from you!
By the way...Congratulations, Les and Mike!!!!! We hope you two, Julia, and little Luke the best of health and safety.

Back to School

Too bad Christmas break can't last forever. Noel and I both are back in the swing of school things! Noel started classes on Wednesday, and it seems that he will really like this semester. I started back to school on Thursday the 3rd. We were supposed to go back on the 2nd, but (thankfully) we got about an inch of snow-give or take. So they called off school. It was awesome! It gave me that extra day so that I actually wanted to go back to school. It also gave me another day to get off of mountain time and back on eastern time. If you don't know my school schedule, I have to leave my house at around 6:30 (I am not a morning person at all so this has been a struggle). As such, I go to bed quite early too, but since my internal time clock had not quite changed back I couldn't fall asleep until way past my bedtime. Anyway...I had my first full week back this last week, and it is always a challenge to get the kids back into the routine of school. But it is still nice to be back!
