Memories

Let's take a walk down memory lane. I've seen this on a few blogs that I frequently visit (okay...visit at least daily) and thought it might be fun.

1. Leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Feet

At the risk of sounding like a huge complainer, I have had some swelling issues since about the 18th week of my pregnancy (I can't complain about anything else). The last few weeks, my hands and feet have been swelling a lot. Don't worry...my blood pressure is fine. It's gotten to where I can't really wear any shoes except for flip flops and Crocs. The good thing is my feet don't hurt at all, they just swell. They go down to nearly normal size each night while I sleep, then swell back up within an hour of getting out of bed. If you are totally disgusted by feet, just leave the blog now because you will not like what is coming. My feet are quite funny to look at. I know this is so weird that I'm posting this, but oh well. :)

I painted my toenails (that was quite the task) in the hopes that it would make my feet look better. The jury is still out on that one. :) I've always had slightly large ankles but not quite this large.

That's where my ankle bone should be seen. This one looks like it could be the foot of the marshmallow man from Ghostbusters.

3 Things

I was tagged by Marissa, and I really like doing these things.

3 Joys
Noel
Gospel
Family and friends

3 Fears
The first day of school
Birth
Creatures (big bugs, rodents, etc.)

3 Goals
Finish scrapbooking our wedding album
Finish writing the primary program
Read more

3 Current Obsessions/Collections
Blogging--honestly, I check blogs at least once a day sometimes more.
Twilight series--I can't wait for the fourth book to come out in August and the movie in December :)
Key chains--I've collected key chains since I was a little kid. Every new place I go I get one, and my parents are really good about getting me one when they go on trips, too.

3 Random Surprises about Me
*I am obsessed with sunscreen. I pretty much wear it anytime I go out in the sun. I may be pasty white, but I better not get melanoma.
*I always squeeze the toothpaste tube from the bottom. It drives me crazy when I go to use a tube that has been squished from the middle.
*This one is probably not really a surprise, but I love juvenile/children's literature. Noel has to remind (okay...sometimes force me) to read "big kid" books.

I love reading these about other people. So anyone who wants to join the fun, feel free.

Baby Shower

Four weeks and counting until the due date! Yahoo! My fabulous friend Nancy threw me a baby shower today. It was so nice to sit and visit with friends in the ward and snack on some tasty treats. It was kind of funny because almost everyone there was either pregnant or recently had a baby. I had such a great time! Thanks Nancy!

I was so excited because we got a bunch of books for the baby! Turbo also got some nice blankets, toys, bath stuff, outfits, etc. It was such a nice shower!

While we were having the baby shower, Noel went out on a bike ride. This is my sweaty husband that came home. When he got back he was almost dead. :) He got lost for a bit and then still had to ride home.

He also had some definite helmet hair! You can kind of see where the grooves and openings in his helmet are.

My old roommate from college loved this stand-up comedian named Mitch Hedberg. While I was cleaning out our computer I found these old sound-bites of him. They make me laugh every time so I included it on the blog. I hope you enjoy it.

July 4th

Noel strikes again...Amber and I had quite the fun July 4th as this was the first time Noel was able to legally light fireworks. You see, Noel comes from the disadvantaged state of New York where fireworks are illegal unless lit by certified professionals and let's be honest, who wants to certify teenagers in explosives.

Anywho, the fun began with Noel making Amber pose with lit pieces of explosives in her hands (aka sparklers) and here is the finished product. Hope you enjoy!

Baby's Room!!! Almost Done:)

Why hello my blogging aficionados...aka...LexPeeps. This weekend we finished little turbo's baby room. After painting and lots of Amber moaning (yes...for all you future dads, painting/decorating and pregnant ladies do not mix) we put the finishing touches on the baby's room.

We are both excited as completing this room removes one more thing from our to-do list before Turbo is born. However, Noel commented that he hopes our second child is also a boy as he never wants to do this again...or at least for another 20 years.

To your left and below are some pictures of the room. Hope you enjoy them.

Also, we have narrowed Turbo's name to Thomas Gordito Dickens (future apostle name of T. Gordito...doesn't it sound sooooo nice) and Blaze Charles Dickens aka. Chuck.

Well folks, that is all she wrote, so feel free to post your hearts away.

Peace:)

33 Weeks

Last weekend marked week 33!

Flowers

Yes...it is JULY, and we just got around to planting flowers in the bed on the side of our house this week. We tried doing some planter boxes earlier, but they all died (I think they drown, if seeds can drown). Anyway...we bought some rhododendron bushes (which will be so pretty when they bloom next spring) and lisianthus. I told Noel that the flower bed was my project for the week. I honestly thought that I could do it myself, but luckily Noel was nice and helped out a ton. I definitely overestimated my abilities in the heat. I think it turned out lovely!
